FRAX486是一种有效的I组选择性p21活化激酶（PAK）抑制剂（PAK1 / 2/3 IC50 = 8.25 / 39.5 / 55.3 nM； II组PAK4 IC50 = 779 nM）。FRAX486在血管紧张素II（ANGII）刺激大鼠IEC-18细胞（IC50〜0.5μM）时有效抑制PAK介导的PKD1 Ser203磷酸化和PAK1 / 2 Ser144 / 141自磷酸化，并在体内具有挽救Fmr1孤独症样表型的功效。具有良好的药代动力学特性和血脑屏障的Disc1敲除小鼠（10μg/ g或10 mg / kg ip）的基因敲除脆弱综合征（FXS）小鼠（20 mg / kg sc）以及缓解精神分裂症相关的树突棘退化（BBB）渗透性
